I chose to write about Pu Luong (in North Vietnam) because its nature is beautiful and wonderful to be in. There are many beautiful sights.

When we arrived in Pu Luong from Hanoi in the little minivan 🚐 we saw that it was very peaceful and beautiful, but this was only the beginning.

Our homestay was great. Our room was in a bungalow and we could have some time in the garden. Lana and I played outside on the swing that our host put together while the adults were in the “restaurant” bungalow talking.

At dinner, we had fried spring rolls, chicken with lemongrass and so on. When we were done eating I started to work on the iPad until it was time to go get in my pjs and brush my teeth then go to bed 🛌. But I had to change rooms, because Lana 👧🏼 didn’t stop bothering me when I tried to sleep 😴.

The next morning, we had banana pancakes 🍌🥞 for breakfast then we went for a tour so we could see the rice terraces. Our first stop was to see a wooden bridge where only the adults got out of the minivan because it was raining a lot.

Our second stop was three waterwheels and this time all of us went off. We got to see the process and our guide told us it brings the water from the river into the rice terraces in winter which is the dry season.❄️

Then we went back to the minivan 🚐 and headed to our next stop. Well it wasn’t really a stop but more like a one-hour break for walking in the rice terraces (which I call “stairs”). The walk was peaceful and we crossed some people as well as some chickens 🐓on the road (real ones of course). The view was amazing. There were stairs of rice ev-er-ry-where and it was beautiful. But the best thing was that we could actually get closer to see the rice in their leaves. Our host even got a rice plant for us and we tasted raw rice. Mom, Lana and I rinsed our feet in the cold river because we were walking in muddy puddles.

When we got back to the bungalow village we all went back to our rooms. Lana and I were in the restaurant looking at our hosts making fried rice for lunch.

After lunch, we went to a natural pool which is like a mini waterfall. We didn't stay long inside, because it was very cold 💧❄️.

The next day, we went back to Hanoi.
