Travel preparations

Travelling around the world is much easier in 2019 than before the internet era. There is plethora of sites and travel blogs with all sorts of tips and recommendations, from vaccinations to visa formalities, from the required equipment to travel insurance.

Our principal sources of inspiration were:

• Tourdumondiste.com (https://www.tourdumondiste.com): great source of information in French on all facets of travelling.

• A contresens (https://planificateur.a-contresens.net): in French, trip planner with weather-related data . Also a great source for budgeting.

• Marek Bron's book Travel the world without worries (2015) and blog (https://www.indietraveller.co). Well-written book that helps demystifying long trips (special thanks to Nadia and Fabien!).
