Itinerary
Over the past 3 years, we were juggling with work, 2 young kids, Coralie's MBA studies,... we needed a breather: to lay back, enjoy some free time as a family. We know how time flies by fast and want to live up every moment while we can.

Also, after 11 years abroad, between Montreal and Savannah, we were ready for a change: get closer to family, live in Europe (again), have the girls immersed in our culture, and enjoy hedonism.
But if we were to leave the US and head back home, why not take the longest path and get the most ouf it? What if our breather was a travel year as a family?
That's how it all started...

How did we define our itinerary?
-
going down our bucket lists (Pacific)
-
making our $ last longer in cheaper destinations (South East Asia, part of South America)
-
following family footsteps (Vietnam, Argentina, New Caledonia)
-
sharing childhood memories with our kids (New Zealand in camper van)

Below is our plan for the year
-
China, 1 month
-
Hong-Kong (hoping that protests do not become a problem for us), and off to South East Asia: Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand (approx 3 months)
-
Short stay in Singapore before jumping off to Indonesia for 1 month
-
From Bali, heading to New Zealand where we will rent a camper van and drive across the South and North Islands (3 weeks)
-
New Caledonia (2 weeks), Coralie's homecoming
-
Easter Island (a few days) after a short stay in Tahiti, French Polynesia
-
Leaving the Pacific Ocean for South America (4 months): Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador (including Galapagos islands)
-
Heading back to Toulouse in August 2020.
